Advantages of PE

The PE produced by our company mainly include the following types:

LLDPE
LLDPE stands for Linear Low-Density Polyethylene, a flexible, durable, and cost-effective plastic polymer known for high tensile strength and superior resistance to punctures and impacts. It is primarily used for plastic films, stretch wraps, food packaging, plastic bags, and agricultural applications.

LDPE
Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) is a soft, flexible, and lightweight thermoplastic material, commonly identified by recycling code #4. It is known for its high toughness, low-temperature flexibility, and corrosion resistance. LDPE is widely used in applications requiring pliability, such as plastic bags, squeeze bottles, and food packaging films.

MMLDPE
Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) is a soft, flexible, and lightweight thermoplastic material, commonly identified by recycling code #4. It is known for its high toughness, low-temperature flexibility, and corrosion resistance. LDPE is widely used in applications requiring pliability, such as plastic bags, squeeze bottles, and food packaging films.

HDPE
High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is a versatile, durable, and lightweight thermoplastic polymer made from petroleum, commonly used for products like milk jugs, detergent bottles, and piping. Known for its high strength-to-density ratio, excellent chemical resistance, and, it is a #2 recyclable plastic that does not leach toxic chemicals.

Advantages of PE

The Advantages of Using PE for Plastic Parts

Flexibility

Many manufacturers use polyethylene for its flexibility and ability to bend without breaking. These qualities make it ideal for plastic parts. Being able to bend without breaking minimizes the chances of the plastic parts developing cracks, which improves its durability.

01

High Tolerance

Polyethylene is an excellent material to use in the manufacturing processes of products with a high tolerance. It withstands temperatures as high as 266 degrees Fahrenheit and is excellent at managing high-stress loads. Furthermore, it resists abrasion, impact, and corrosion.

02

Environmental Friendliness

Polyethylene is easy to recycle and produces no hazardous chemicals that may lead to environmental pollution. It lessens the chances of a clogged waterway and doesn’t pollute the atmosphere, making it safe for the environment and the people around it.

03

Aesthetic Appeal

A wide range of colors are available for polyethylene in manufacturing before it hardens, ensuring the final product is aesthetically pleasing. This feature has seen manufacturers use polyethylene to create custom-fabricated plastic parts with design elements that suit their specific requirements.

04

Easy Fabrication

Polyethylene is easy to fabricate, making it a cost-effective option compared to other plastics. It’s possible to mass-produce dozens of polyethylene products for your business that require little maintenance. Your manufacturing process will be significantly more efficient by using this plastic for your plastic parts.

Different Processing Technologies For PE

Compounding and Pelletizing
Polyethylene is mixed with other additives (such as plasticizers, stabilizers, fillers, etc.) in an extruder. The mixture is melted, extruded, and then cut into pellets.

Extrusion Molding
In extrusion molding, polyethylene raw materials in the form of pellets or powder are mixed with necessary additives and colorants, heated to a molten state in an extruder, and impurities are removed through a filter. The molten plastic is then extruded through a die to form the desired shape. Twin-screw extruders are particularly suitable for processing PE due to their strong mixing and plasticizing capabilities.

Injection Molding
Polyethylene is heated to a molten state and then injected into a mold under high pressure to cool and solidify, forming complex-shaped products.

Blow Molding
A polyethylene melt is made into a parison, which is then inflated with gas pressure to conform to the mold’s inner wall, cooling and solidifying into shape.

Rotational Molding
Polyethylene powder is added to a mold, which rotates along two vertical axes and is heated. The powder melts and evenly distributes along the mold’s inner wall, forming hollow products upon cooling.

Calendering
Polyethylene melt is passed through multiple calendering rollers to press it into films or sheets of specific thickness.

Thermoforming
Polyethylene sheets are heated to soften, then formed against the mold surface using vacuum or pressure, and cooled to solidify.

Foam Molding
A foaming agent is added to polyethylene, and through chemical or physical methods, the material forms a porous structure to create lightweight materials.

Blown Film Foaming
Combining extrusion blown film processes with foaming technology to produce films with foam structures.

Hot Melt Adhesive Processing
Polyethylene is mixed with other components to produce hot melt adhesives, which are heated and melted to coat or dip on substrate surfaces.

Precautions For Storing PE

Temperature and humidity contro
Polyethylene can be affected by high temperatures and high humidity, so it should be kept at room temperature and avoided contact with moisture. If stored in a humid environment, consider using desiccants or dehumidifiers to reduce the humidity.

Avoid exposure to light
Polyethylene can age when exposed to sunlight, so it should be stored in a cool place to avoid direct sunlight.

Avoid mechanical damage
Polyethylene is a flexible material that is prone to mechanical damage. Therefore, it should be handled carefully during storage and transportation. Sharp objects or hard objects should be avoided from coming into contact with polyethylene to prevent scratches or punctures.

Cleanliness and hygiene
It is very important to keep the polyethylene clean and hygienic. Before use, the surface dirt, dust, and other impurities should be thoroughly removed. During cleaning, mild cleaning agents should be used, and strong chemical substances should be avoided.

Fire prevention measures
Although polyethylene is not easily flammable, it may ignite under high temperatures and open flames. Therefore, when storing polyethylene, all fire prevention regulations must be followed, and the storage area must have appropriate firefighting equipment.
