Tips for Using Cast Stretch Film

Using cast stretch film correctly improves packaging efficiency while maximizing the film's excellent stretchability and securing capabilities. First, select the appropriate film specifications based on the cargo's weight, dimensions, and shape. For heavy loads or items with sharp edges, choose a thicker film with high tensile strength to prevent breakage during the packaging process.

Maintain appropriate tension during wrapping to ensure the film conforms tightly to the cargo's surface. Insufficient tension results in a loose wrap that fails to secure the load effectively, while excessive tension can cause the film to snap or compromise its performance. Generally, wrap at a steady speed to ensure uniform coverage, paying special attention to reinforcing the base, corners, and top of the load to enhance overall stability.

When using cast stretch film for pallet wrapping, secure the base of the load first and then wrap upwards, creating a unified bond between the cargo and the pallet. For tall loads or those with an unstable center of gravity, increase the number of wrapping layers to provide additional support. When using automated wrapping machinery, properly adjust the tension, rotation speed, and number of wraps to achieve optimal packaging results.
